Thermotech had manufactured more than 2000 Thermic Fluid Heaters on solid fuel combustion with Maximum Temperature range of 350 Deg. C and capacity of 12 M Kcal/hr (120 Lac Kcal/hr).

Complete combustion of solid fuel is achieved by methodical mixing of fuel & air. Thus a self sustainable combustion temperature is ensured by adequate oxygen ingress to every particle of fuel.

Every solid fuel has different physical and chemical properties which influences the design and performance of the furnace in Thermal Fluid Heater. Different combustion systems are shown in above diagrams.

Low grade fuels are best handled using FBC technology to give good results. Thermotech's unique design for efficient combustion suits different solid fuels like coal, lignite, wood, husk, pet coke,  bagasse and biomass fuels resulting in to low operating cost, trouble free operation and lesser maintenance.

Fluidized Bed Type Combustion : FBC - Fully Automatic : Fluidized Bed Combustion Technology is best suited for some fuels with high ash content like low grade coal, paddy husk, agro wastes etc.

FBC technology ensures complete combustion, helps homogeneous mixing of fuel, maintains uniform bed temperature and leaves low un-burnt fuel guaranteeing 5 to 7% higher efficiency than any other combustion system.Options of In-Bed Tubes in Furnace is also available to control bed temperature & system performance.
Fluidized Bed Combustion Technology is best suited for fuels like low grade coal, imported coal, paddy husk, petcock, etc with Auto feeding system of Over bed & Under bed into Furnace.

The Thermic Fluid in the complete circuit expands in volume, when it is heated.The rate of expansion in volume is 7 % per every 100 Deg. C rise in the temperature of thermic fluid. Hence the selection of the size of expansion tank depends upon fluid content of the total system. As a guideline the expansion tank capacity should be 20 % of the total volume of the oil to be filledup in the system. The Deaeration vessel capacity depends upon the flow rate. Its size can be roughly decided considering 2.5 to 3 m/s fluid velocity at its inlet nozzle. The standard deearator cum expansion tanks supplied is suitable for most of the standard processes. In case the volumetric expansion of Thermic Fluid of the system is more then the capacity of the expansion tank provided, a separate extra expansion tank needs to be incorporated.

The Thermic Fluid also contains some higher fractions which flash off at elevated temperature while commissioning. These are to be driven out of the system to have proper functioning of the equipment. The combined expansion and deaerator tank is so designed as to take care of the expansion of Thermic Fluid and also to drive away the gases or entrapped air. This tank should be installed at least 1 meter (3 Feet) above the highest point in the thermic fluid pipeline. It is also necessary to confirm that the NPSH available at the pump suction is more, by at least 0.5 m, than the NPSH required for your pump. Supports are welded to the tank, with the help of which the tank can be fixed and bolted to the structure.

Thermotech's Electric cum control panel for Thermic Fluid Heater is specially designed with compartmental type.Electric & Control sections are separated for better performance. Each equipment is separately compartmantelised, for quick fault finding & ease to maintenance.Control & Electrical wiring are separately carried out within panel.All switch gears are of internationnaly recognised brands like Siemens, ABB, etc...
